Taking inspiration from Mario Higinio’s original El Rayo label, Alice has reinterpreted the story in her own distinctive style. Bringing together original El Rayo photography of modern Mexico with handcrafted mixed-media elements, she’s created a vibrant collage bursting with colour, texture and imagination. A celebration of human creativity, discovery and the beauty of taking the scenic route.

Filled with our best-selling Plata Tequila. Our Plata perfectly captures the vibrant flavours of Mexico’s majestic blue agave plant. Herbal aromas give way to bright citrus notes warmed by a hint of peppery spice. The fresh and savoury flavours balance perfectly with bittersweet Indian tonic water.

Meet the Maker

ALICE ISAAC

Alice is a self-taught collage artist and animator based in Margate. Her process is instinctive and experimental: taking materials apart and rebuilding them into something entirely new. Tapping into a desire for the real and the human, it’s everything we love about creativity. People using their hands and minds, with the time and space to see where things go.

“I’ve always been drawn to work that embraces my analogue collage process. The cutting, the layering, working with the tactility of printed imagery – for me that’s the most exciting way to work. Partnering with El Rayo felt like a natural fit because they’re not interested in the easy version of anything and having a brand supporting craft is so refreshing. It gives you hope for the future of creativity. They wanted me to interpret their world, my way. That kind of trust is rare and I think it shows in the work.”
